The MAC Events Story

Music is our passion. Throughout working in this industry, we have seen firsthand how music can change the overall vibe of an event. We want to be able to help our clients deliver that type of energy and creativity to their events each and every time we take the floor.

With a combined 50+ years of events experience, we have brought countless events to life.
We are here to transform your vision into a reality.

back in 2001 when Ryan “MAC” McDonald found his passion for events. He began this journey with two of his fraternity brothers in the hopes of being able to deliver entertainment across their college campus.  Fast forward a few years and his two partners went on to pursue other employment options leaving Ryan to create Mac’s Mobile Music.  He spent the next 15 years operating as a one-man-band performing at local bars and restaurants and had the honor of DJ’ing for many of his friend’s and family’s weddings.  But, being that he could only be in one place at one time - he decided it was time to onboard like-minded individuals and expand services.

In January 2020 MAC Events was born!

It all started….

MEET TREVOR “FAT CAT” YATES

  • My favorite part of providing entertainment for weddings and events is watching the newlyweds and their closest family and friends have the time of their life. I take pride in being flexible and willing to do what is necessary to keep the day stress-free, and the party going all night.

    I live with my wife, Maddie, our two children Monroe and Everett, and our four dogs: Gunner, Ted, Leo, and Frank. Maddie and I grew up on the same block in a small town in IN, and we reconnected more than 20 years later. 

    In my free time, I love to exercise, be with family and friends, and be out on the golf course.

    I love to travel and have thrown parties in 4 different states in the Midwest. 

    I’m ready to help you throw an amazing party and have the time of your life!

MEET Khalid “DJ Eternal” Gordon

  • I started my DJ adventure 2015 in Tucson, AZ performing with local artists and doing a few weddings/parties. After moving back to Indianapolis I have not only continued to DJ, pushing myself to do more of everything including: quinceañeras, school dances, company events, etc… but have joined DJ communities such as ‘Mac Events’ to help and learn as much as I can.

    My goal is to make everyone’s experience fun, happy, and memorable as much as possible.
