Music is our passion. Throughout working in this industry, we have seen firsthand how music can change the overall vibe of an event. We want to be able to help our clients deliver that type of energy and creativity to their events each and every time we take the floor.
With a combined 50+ years of events experience, we have brought countless events to life.

back in 2001 when Ryan “MAC” McDonald found his passion for events. He began this journey with two of his fraternity brothers in the hopes of being able to deliver entertainment across their college campus. Fast forward a few years and his two partners went on to pursue other employment options leaving Ryan to create Mac’s Mobile Music. He spent the next 15 years operating as a one-man-band performing at local bars and restaurants and had the honor of DJ’ing for many of his friend’s and family’s weddings. But, being that he could only be in one place at one time - he decided it was time to onboard like-minded individuals and expand services.
In January 2020 MAC Events was born!

MEET RYAN “MAC” MCDONALD

I am a father of 2 and when I am not behind the decks I can be found hooping with my son in the front yard or watching my daughter tear it up in the gym.
During my 20+ year DJ career, I have worked hundreds of weddings, corporate, and school events - weddings are my personal favorite. Because of my experience, I can confidently guide you through the planning process and ensure that any kind of music you want to be played at your event will be played.
I promise to do whatever I can to have your special event exceed your expectations, and create a musical experience that you and your guests will never forget.
MEET MANUEL “EZM” MARES

I started to play music when I was almost 20 years old and have never looked back. I am passionate about all types of genres. It's amazing how a good song can change the vibe of people.
I was born to entertain! My clients rave about my energy and selection of music. I have a knack for understanding the crowd and know how to get them excited.
I am a father of 4 and when I’m not rocking a party or event you can find me working in my yard, cooking some “carne asada” on the grill, or listening to music.
I've been lucky enough to have rocked some of the world's most amazing weddings and events. Let me make your day one to remember.

MEET TREVOR “FAT CAT” YATES

After a year of shadowing Ryan “DJ MAC” McDonald, I have helped over 50 couples celebrate their big day. My favorite part of providing entertainment for weddings and events is watching the newlyweds and their closest family and friends have the time of their life. I take pride in being flexible and willing to do what is necessary to keep the day stress-free, and the party going all night.
I live with my wife, Maddie, our two children Monroe and Everett, and our four dogs: Gunner, Ted, Leo, and Frank. Maddie and I grew up on the same block in a small town in IN, and we reconnected more than 20 years later.
In my free time, I love to exercise, be with family and friends, and be out on the golf course.
I love to travel and have thrown parties in 4 different states in the Midwest.
I’m ready to help you throw an amazing party and have the time of your life!
MEET GERALD “GEE6IX” REED

I have been DJing for over 10 years now! I have had the pleasure of DJing all over the Indianapolis area at clubs and private events. Music plays a big part in my life, and I try to show that in my DJ sets.
I like to take different genres and blend them together to create an energy and a vibe that guests have never experienced.
